ICDL is getting into Zambian vocabulary!
Dear friend,
The International Computer Driving Licence (or ICDL) is the world's No. 1 basic computer skills qualification, and attracted a lot of interest at the recent Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management Convention, with ZIHRM President stating in her closing remarks that ICDL presents an opportunity for ZIHRM members to become "pioneers" in the field of ICT.
We now have 20 accredited centres in Zambia, with the most recent additions to the ICDL family being:
1. Penta Institiute of Advanced Technology. This training centre near ZRA in Lusaka offers ICT training to the corporate sector and to indviduals, and benefits from expertise gained in established ICDL Centres in Kenya.
2. Celmak Solutions, based in PHI. They offer ICDL as part of a portfolio of courses including Cisco and MSDE, and have been targeting school leavers who may wish to upgrade their IT skills once their Grade 12 exams are over.
To find out how to obtain or to offer the ICDL please see our website www.icdl.org.zm or at any time you can text the word 'ICDL' to 888. If you have any queries about how to offer or to take the ICDL qualification in Zambia, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
Best wishes,
