Realise the benefits of ICDL accreditation for your training centre
Register your centre
A Training Centre may not offer the ICDL, or follow the syllabus without being accredited.
If you are aware of training that is described as "ICDL" but the centre's name does not appear on the list of accredited centres on this website, please contact us to let us know. We need to ensure that quality standards remain high. If you run a training centre and offer quality computer training, in a conducive environment, and employ committed, enthusiastic, competent trainers, we would love to have you on board! Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
TRAINING FACILITIES: must have well-equipped computer labs, and good training materials. You may use your own training materials but ICDL-accredited textbooks or CBT (computer based training) are recommended, as they are specially deisgned to fit in with the syllabus.
TRAINING COURSE: there is no specific training course timetable or duration for the ICDL; you can adopt any mode of delivery. But you should look at the official ECDL/ICDL syllabus version 5.0 and see whether your own IT training course can be adapted to match the syllabus.
TESTING FACILITIES: the ICDL examinations are taken on a computer, on specialist testing software (only available via the In Country Partner AfriConnect). They must be booked in advance, and the exam session takes place in a secure, private environment under the presence of an approved ICDL invigilator. The trainer is not permitted to be involved in the examination process.
TRAINERS: any individuals offering ICDL training must have the ICDL qualification themselves, and must pass the Advanced ICDL within six months of the centre becoming accredited. They must also attend "Train the Trainer" workshops that are offered periodically by the ICDL In Country Partner.
It is simple and affordable to become an Accredited ICDL Centre! Please contact us to ask for further details of the accreditation process. The application forms will require evidence of: Company Registration ; length of time delivering IT Training ; Company Directors ; Auditors and Bank details ; TEVETA registration number ; specification of your computers ; trainer details and qualifications.
See a checklist of Application Form Requirements here. Contact us to ask for the forms.
When you join the family and you will be supported by the ICDL In Country Partner, invited to regular workshops and training events, provided with marketing materials and posters, and included in nationwide publicity campaigns. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to new markets and grow your business.
We look forward to working with you!
