ICDL is for schools, teachers, universities and lifelong learners
ICDL in Education
The ICDL has been incorporated into education sector worldwide, for example:

In the United Kingdom it is offered by 400 schools and many universities

In Austria it is implemented in 1,000 schools

In Egypt the ICDL is mandatory for all teachers, studebnts, civil servants
-
In Zimbabwe it is offered at 200 schools
-
In South Africa, the ICDL is compulsory on many UNISA degree courses and conforms to the SAQA framework at level 4

In Tanzania the qualification is being implemented at all teacher education colleges

In Zambia, Baobab College in Lusaka was the first school to offer the ICDL to its students, and many other schools and tertiary institutions are following sui (watch this space!), Rhodes Park School, Mpelembe Secondary School, Chengelo School, the University of Zambia and NISTCOL being just some examples. The Ministry of Education is also putting MOE staff through the programme.
The ICDL can raise the capacity and confidence levels of teachers, students and administrative staff in educational institutions.
